Q: Describe your technical profficiencies
Through professional experience as well as my own practice, I’ve obtained ample experience in handling, packaging, transporting, and installing both individual artworks and exhibitions. In the past, the bulk of the work consisted of large 2-dimensional pieces like paintings, prints, and low reliefs, although I also have experience crating and installing sculptures in steel and porcelain. I’m excited by the prospect of gaining more experience in exhibition planning, the design and fabrication of exhibition displays, and handling delicate 3-dimensional work, as this will allow me to fill important gaps in my expertise.
My experience as an assistant carpenter, studio technician, and art handler has equipped me with a solid foundation in operating conventional power tools. In my own time, I continue to refine my technical know-how by building furniture for myself, friends, and family.
